Students watched a short video and a PowerPoint presentation about action photography techniques and the use of shutter priority (S or Tv mode). Students then went to various locations on campus where they captured hops, skips and jumps at a variety of shutter speeds. The intent of the activity was to introduce students to some of the creative possibilities available by adjusting the shutter speed to faster or slower speeds. The activity will continue for another class period as each student needs to capture 24 examples. The 24 files will be used in our next Photoshop activity.
